In November, an open house was held at station #1, as was the 32nd
annual Turkey Raffle.
199 fire calls were recorded for the year, a boat collision, snowmobile
fire, motorcycle accident, house fire and drowning.
In March, the new KED Board (Extrication Device) was placed in service.
Donald Kohlhase was appointed was appointed the new Chief in May. An
open house was held in October. And in November, the 33rd annual Turkey
Raffle was held.
237 fire calls were recorded for the year, including house fires, a
barn fire and drownings.
The Firefighters purchased CPR mannequins in May. In November, hose
racks were installed at Station #1. The 43rd annual Turkey Raffle was
held in November.
218 fire calls were recorded for the year, including, transformer fire,
fireworks explosion, boat fire and structure fires.
The 35th annual Turkey Raffle was held in November.
193 fire calls were recorded for the year, including structure fires, a
boat fire and motorcycle fire.
On September 7, 1987, our first Divers were certified for advanced open
water search and recovery. The 36th annual Turkey Raffle was held in
November.

accidents, boat house fire, and lightning strike fire.
In January the department had a snowmobile in the water at Route 14 and
the bridge. A 2 day search of the river ensued. In November, the new
Ambulance 651 was put into service. The 37th annual Turkey Raffle was
held in November. In December, snowmobiles were already using the
river. The department was instructed to be prepared for ice rescues.
271 fire calls were recorded for the year, including a snowmobile lost
in the river, structure fires and many ambulance calls.
New Re-hab of the Model T was started in January. In September the
District began the planning stage of purchasing a new pumper. The 38th
annual Turkey Raffle was held in November.
242 fire calls were recorded for the year, including a smoke
investigation and a weapon recovery dive.
The kitchen at the firehouse was remodeled. The 39th annual Turkey
Raffle was held in November, and a committee was formed to look into a
cell phone for the ambulance.
<207 fire calls were recorded for the year, including a structure
fire where 2 firefighters were slightly injured in the line of duty,
and a gas grill fire.
A new cell phone was put in service on the ambulance. Service plaques
were presented to Dave Pieri and Ted Wagner for outstanding service to
the department as non-members. Our new Engine 640 was to be in service
soon. In August, computers were purchased for the department. A
Disaster Drill was held in September involving boats, divers and the
Flight for Life helicopter. The 40th annual Turkey Raffle was held in
November.
261 fire calls were recorded for the year, including a structure fire
at Norge Ski Club, car vs. train, and pedestrian vs. train accident.
January – A gas detector was purchased to carry in the engines.
April – Racks were installed at the firehouse for the Dive Team.
June – Because of the water shortage in the village, the tanker
responded to all fire calls.
November – A pulse oximeter and electronic blood pressure machine were
purchased for the ambulance. The 41st annual Turkey Raffle was held in
November.

auto accidents and a couple of stove fires.
